New animal rights service at the ZAL Port

At ZAL Port, we want to contribute to the rights of the cats and dogs that call our logistics activity zone home, following the legal obligation of Legislative Decree 2/2008 of April 15, which establishes the general rules for the protection of animals with the aim of achieving the highest level of protection and well-being. In Catalonia, cats are considered pets, regardless of their status, and they are subject to the obligations set forth in Article 12.

In this sense, we are collaborating for animal rights by controlling the birth rate and healing these feline communities, also named through the Barcelona Gat i Gos Foundation, an association made up entirely of volunteers with more than 18 years of experience giving new opportunities to lost or found cats in difficult situations.

The association’s volunteers visit the colonies, feed the cats, deworm them, apply the CER (capture, neuter, and return) method, and, if they are sick, take them in for care. They also find docile cats and put them up for adoption.

If you discover any lost animals on your premises, we offer a collection service through this Foundation. As a company located in the ZAL Port, we rely on your collaboration!
