Noatum Logistics, CMA CGM and Globelink renew their contracts with the ZAL Port

Since the beginning of the year already are three the ZAL Port customers who have renewed their confidence in the Logistics Activities Zone of the Port of BarcelonaNoatum LogisticsCMA CGM Iberian and Globelink Uniexco. Is thanks to his loyalty and the more than 130 companies already established in the ZAL Port, which the Park has a 97% occupation of buildings, one of the figures most high in the sector.

The last renovation was on June 9 with Noatum Logistics, one of the main groups of the logistics sector at international level, with an agreement of lease for 4 years. UGL, company belonging to Noatum Logistics who already chose the ZAL Port in 2005 to locate his headquarters, is now at a point of growth with a warehouse of 4,850 sqm in the ZAL Port (Prat). The new warehouse with Noatum Logistics brand, will be equipped with certifications, such as Temporary Deposit Warehouse (DDT) , Deposit Unique Customs (DDU) and Different Customs Warehouse (DDD).

CMA CGM Iberica, one of major global shipping companies and Globelink Uniexco, pioneer in Spain as a Neutral international consolidator, have renewed their contracts with the ZAL Port for long term. There are 8 years more for CMA CGM Ibérica, and 10 more for Globelink Uniexco. The two companies settled in the ZAL Port  in 2004 where have been able to improve their services, pioneering and expand as it is the case of CMA CGM to 1,555 sqm of offices in the Service Center or Carrefour, which has just opened a logistics cold platform of 18,200 sqm.

These four renovations take place against a backdrop of extraordinary growth for the ZAL Port, which in recent years has been stagnation – due to the global crisis -, invest in new ground getting the exploitation of the BZs in Zona Franca de Barcelona. Expansion that has been accompanied by new construction and maximum quality with certificates of energy efficiency, as in the case of the logistics cold platform of Carrefour and  of a forecast of development of 450,000 sqm in the next 4 years, constituting 1,000,000 sqm built and becoming a benchmark in the South of Europe. Therefore, in the ZAL Port Logistics demand continues to grow and companies that are already installed do not want to lose their privileged position.
