CILSA and ARCESE sign an agreement to renew their relationship for a further nine years by a total area of 13,500 SQM in the ZAL Port

Arcese, logistics operator and world leader in land, sea and air transport of goods and logistics services with a presence in 50 countries, and CILSA, the company that manages the ZAL of the Port of Barcelona, have signed a new contract for the renewal of its lease of 12,500 sqm of warehouse and 1,000 sqm of office.

This new agreement responds to the development of Arcese‘s activity in Spain, particularly in Barcelona, as a global logistics integrator, increasing the end-to-end supply of logistics and transport solutions available to all companies regardless of their size or industry. activity, with a special focus on markets such as Automotive, Fashion, Consumer, Retail, among others. Sectors that have found in Arcese a partner that offers them added value, both in terms of quality of service, safety and know-how of customer needs, managing their export operations, such as import, handling, storage, as well as their later distribution both in the Iberian Peninsula and in the South of France, under the influence zone of the Port of Barcelona.

The warehouse will be equipped with the most modern technology for logistics activities, with a free height under the installation’s girder with 10.50 m free in the storage area; It has 40 loading docks with sectional doors and exterior shelters and canopies with interior lighting using adjustable low-consumption LED technology, natural lighting exceeding 10% of the surface area free of skylights.

Furthermore, the plot is equipped with 119 parking spaces for light vehicles and the fire protection installation is made with ESFR sprinklers according to NFPA and the smoke removal system guarantees a medium level of 5 risk.

After the incorporation of ARCESE to the ZAL Port (BCN) in June 2014, increasing this relationship for an additional nine years represents a very important milestone in CILSA‘s strategy, consolidating itself as a logistics infrastructure partner serving the Port of Barcelona for its clients.
