The ZAL Port acquires 52,000 sqm news of logistics warehouses

Since the beginning of this month of July, the ZAL Port has 52,000 sqm news of logistics warehouses. The Logistics Activities Zone of the Port of Barcelona has signed an agreement of purchase with LURI 6 (former BANIF SANTANDER real estate) to advance the extinction of the right of usufruct and temporary ownership of these warehouses. 

The acquisition of these warehouses will allow the ZAL Port give immediate response to the growth needs of his costumers, because they can commercialize the 11,767 sqm that are available. The warehouses engaged in nearly 77% of 52,000 sqm, belong to logistics operators and renown international forwarders.

This agreement, which represents an investment of 16.4 M€, is the first step in the expansion project of the ZAL Port that allows to increase his logistical capacity and at 2 M€ annual cash flow. For the achievement of this agreement, have been signed a loan with the Port of Barcelona for an amount of 16.5 M€.
